About Me

Guess who's back? Back again...

Haley's back... Tell a friend!

Okay...that was a corny way to start my About Me. I know. But hey, I warned you on the home page that I don't like writing these things.

What to know about me?

Well I'm 27 years old and currently live pretty dang close to the middle of Missouri. I was born and raised and educated in beautiful Southern California. I have a degree in Communications - which no, I don't know what that means either. I love writing and take pictures in my free time or when I see something that needs to be saved.

I'm currently engaged, and trying to figure out how to plan a wedding when I spent my entire childhood telling people I was never going to get married. Oh and I'm also kind of antisocial and an introvert, so I have like a total of zero friends outside my fiance and my animals.

I have the most amazing fiance, Steven. We met while working at a police department. Started out as coworkers, became friends, eventually dated and what do you know...we're engaged. Apparently that's how these things happen? Who knew?

I have zero human children of my own. I am attempting to be a stepmother to an almost 10 year old, after I spent my entire childhood plotting my own stepmom's demise. I have one horse, Miles, who keeps me poor, but happy. I bought him off the track in 2017 to be my jumper project, but I have since retired my english saddle after multiple head injuries, and enjoy the comfort and security of western saddles. Miles on the other hand has decided that he is a children's lead line pony, which my stepdaughter is perfectly content with. I have two dogs, that keep me exhausted, but make sure I'm never alone. Cali is a 2 year old Shepherd mix of some sort we rescued from the shelter she was born at in 2018, just a few weeks after being fired for the first time in my life. Gidget is a 6 month old Miniature American Eskimo Steven bought me after the passing of my childhood dog, Roxy. Roxy was my best friend for 17.5 years and will always be in my heart.

I love to write. It is my main outlet for expressing my feelings, calming myself down and writing myself to a conclusion. I like to write about my experiences in the hopes that one day it might help someone avoid making a mistake that I did, or realize they aren't alone. My Christian upbringing plays a big role in how I write and what I write about, but understand that I am human and I do cuss sometimes.
